She knows that she isn't dominant over us but she does it anyway. WHY?
Humping is a form of aggression. She is still trying to let you know she is the Alpha of the pack or your family. Hope this helps. When she does this, gently put all her legs on the floor and leave the room. Do not speak to her because if you do then she is getting the attention she is demanding. Keep doing this and she will soon learn everytime she humps she is left alone.

When does Alli do this? Sometimes humping occurs when the dog is over-excited, from play, pent-up energy, etc.

Yes, denial of attention is a powerful correction. Perhaps stepping backwards would be a good way of dislodging her.
