My 10 month old Pomeranian named Allie has been potty trained for many months. We worked really hard with her right from the start on crate training her. It didn't take her long to catch on and was potty trained quickly. She went several months with no accidents and would always go to the door when she had to go. Then two months ago she started to back track. We would take her out, she wouldn't go, then we brought her back in and she would squat and pee as we take the leash off. Now its a random thing. Sometimes she runs to the door and goes immediately, other times she will not even go near the door and pee in the house. Its like she chooses when she goes outside. Lots of times we bring her in and she pees the minute she comes in. Any advise on why she would be doing this and what I can do to get her back on track? Hoping someone will have an idea cause I have tried everything I can think of and nothing is working. She was potty trained and now she like pretends she isn't. Please help
Hi Allie!
The same thing happened to me, a few months ago. Dogs are smart, but we are not smart enough to pretend we aren't potty trained. In my case, it turned out that I had a bladder infection. A few days after I visited the vet and got my antibiotics, my peeing problems stopped.
So, start with a vet visit. If you get a clean bill of health, then this is a behavioral issue. Has anything changed in your house lately? New people, different routines, etc. can throw off your potty-training. Yes, you are still in training, because you're still a puppy!

One of her articles talks about how dogs can associate coming inside with eliminating. Your humans should take you outside and ignore you completely (no talking or eye contact) until you pee. As soon as you go, they should praise you and play your favorite game for at least 30 minutes. If you go again, more praise and play! Good luck!

Katie gave you some awesome advice (as usual, GO Katie! Woo!)
I think this sounds like a bladder infection or a urinary tract infection.
It's pretty easily treated, you just need to get her to the vet to be sure and once she's diagnosed, it's an easy course of antibiotics.
This is really the most common reason for truly housetrained dogs to suddenly revert.
