What places or associations can one contact when a dog gets lost other than animal control and vets?

My cousin's dog got lost and they are desperate looking for it. Animal control was contacted and they are going to visit vets in the area. What else can they do please??

you could even use craigslist or watch craigslist for a listing that the dog was found by another.

Post flyers all around the area lost also.

Good luck!

Post flyers wherever possible (pet stores, grocery stores, pharmacies, post office, school bulletin boards, etc.). If the dog was knowingly lost in a particular area (ie: got out of its own yard), go door to door and ask and inform the neighbors of the missing dog.

Best wishes to your cousin and wishing a safe return of his/her dog.

Lily

An free ad in our local newspaper brought Lily home to me. The paper was delivered at 11:00, I had a call of a sighting by noon and an excited message on my machine, "I've got her!!!," by the time I got home from school. Thank you, Mrs K.
