what is it when my beagle puppy has black goo in her ear

when looked at closely you can see the goup or even when cleaned out with a qutip i don't know what it is and can't go to vet so what does this mean?

It means she has a serious ear infection and needs to see a vet ASAP!!!!I IF this is not treated she can lose her hearing or become seriously ill and/or die. Why do you have a puppy if you can't go to the vet???It is your legal as well as moral responsibility to provide necessary veterinary care to any animal in your pocession... failing to do so is called animal cruelty and is punishable by law. You need to either get her to a vet or give her up to a shelter or rescue where she can get necessary veterinary care.

I agree that she more than likely has a bad ear infection, which means you MUST take her to the vet. She needs to be looked at by a real vet. Nobody here can say for sure what is going on, but dark discharge from the ear is a very common sign of a thorough ear infection.

Drops your vet will give you are inexpensive and will cure an ear infection quickly.

Please don't ever put a q-tip in your dog's ear. Even shallow, dogs have complex ear anatomy and you can cause trauma without even realizing it.

If an ear infection is not treated properly, the infection can get worse and cause deafness or even death, so please get the puppy to a vet immediately.

If you CAN'T (not won't) take your dog to the vet it means you shouldn't own a dog...Part of responsible pet ownership means you get them medical care for the animals in your care when they need it...It is also your LEGAL responsibility.
& YES YOUR DOG NEEDS A VET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When we first got Connah, she had this goop in her ear. Our vet said it was an outer ear infection and we needed to take care of it ASAP before it turned into an inner ear infection. Which are quite painful.

I get more ear infections as an adult than I did as a child so I know first hand the kind of pain my dog could go through. NO WAY was I going to let that happen to her whn I could prevent it.

The medicine only cost about 21.50. Forgo Mcdonald's for a week and viola you got money for a vet.

PB&J sandwiches aren't gonna hurt you, but this goo left untreated will hurt your dog.

Forget about NOT going to a vet. You NEED to get your pet to a vet. Ear infections are nothing to mess with on your own.
