I am looking to get a dog next summer. While I will give him/her as much attention as needed (Walking, Vet, Training, etc). I definitely want a dog fit for a couch potato. I also want a dog that is friendly and doesn't shed too much. What breeds do you think I should get? I also have a special needs brother so I also like the dog to treat him as well as he will treat me.
i agree with the greyhound rescue. I talked to the woman who runs the local shelter where I live and she had a greyhound that day and just went on and on about how sweet they were, and how they liked to sit on the couch and watch tv with you. Sounds perfect!

Try a Greyhound Rescue. They need a short bit of exercise, and then are content to gaurd the couch or the linoleum for the rest of the day.

If you go to the Breed Info link on top of the dogster page, they have a link that asks "what breed of dog is good for you"? It's a pretty cool link! It asks you questions like... What size of dogs you prefer (I hit med and large for me) and what kinda grooming you want, do you have kids or elderly (for your brother I'd pick one of these depending on his limitations. also... are you a non active, active or some where in the middle? Then it gives you a list w/ pics of breeds that might work for you. Then, click on a pic of a breed that interests you and they give more info, plus show you other dogsters of that breed. I like that, because then you can pawmail those specific dog pawents with more info, most love to talk about, and help out a fellow breed lover! Good luck!

The Caverlier King Charles spaniel is a very relaxed breed of dog, and have very low needs. but if you are looking for somthing with a bit of a energetic side too, than i recomend the Cavoodle/cavapoo which is a caverlier king charles crossed with a poodle. they don't shed hair, they are great with people (and children) very friendly! love their walks but also their relaxing time too! i highly recomend them!!!
hope this helps!!!

In my pesonal opinion, I would hoose a cockapoo. Fun. playful, no shed dogs,
they are about as close as you could get to what you are looking for.
My neighbor has one and LOVES HIM TO PIECES, ( and he looks likes a fluffy singed marshmellow ), any how, I hope you look into one. ; )
