Our dog bit a child that is constantly aggitating him in our yard - we have an invisible fence and the boy comes just where he knows the dog can go and aggitates and then jumps out into the road. He did'nt make it all the way out one day and our dog bit him under his arm down on his waist. I was just wanting an expert opinion on a dogs normal actions when being aggitated - he does not show aggression to anyone else that walks by our house only this particular child.

Thank you,

I am so sorry this happened & it is also another reason invisible fences just don't work to keep our dogs safe!
Hopefully the kid won't do that again but I wouldn't count on it!
Here is an article I found doing a search for provoked dog bites...I hope this helps!

According to what I've read, dogs will warn them to quit by growling and if that doesn't work they will bite. Or try to get away from the person who is bothering them. If the dog can't get away, it will most likely bite.
My dog was being agitated by a friend of mine a couple of months ago. He put up with it at first, but then he can began to growl whenever my friend tried to pet him. Then he nipped my friend on the hand. My friend couldn't come near him without getting growled at.
I had told my friend to just leave him alone several times, but he wouldn't listen. So, I eventually just took my dog home.
