We got our pup Rolly in the very beginning of August 2008. We lived in once place until just about a month ago. We socialized him quite a bit, but in the last year everyone has moved from the orginial place that he was used to! We took him to my mothers house often and she moved the day before we did. Since then Rolly has been very fearful! Before moving he never snipped at a person or became fearful of thunderstorms or other loud sounds. We now live with someone who is not the most kind to dogs, he often slams doors and as well play music very loud. He also doesn't understand that Rolly is not used to him yet because they rarely see each other. Rolly snips at him when the guy walks directly into him, it is always just a warning not a bite, but this is not good! What do we do! He never had any issues and in the last month he has seemed to get quite a few suddenly! He also has now tried to brake out of his 5ft by 5ft kennel which never happened before either!
Hi Rolly,
You are stressed from all the recent changes, and having an unsympathetic human around is making it worse. All your humans need to help you adapt, and the not-friendly one needs to learn how to deal with you, before you get too scared and start acting more aggressive.
So - for the humans who want to help you - I recommend going to www.k9techsupport.com for helpful links to articles on training, anxiety, aggression, even how to choose a reputable trainer (a great way to fix things more quickly).
They should take you on two walks each day, and visit the local dog park or dog beach as often as possible, to give you a fun outing and help you socialize and settle in.
The human who is not kind to dogs needs to learn to ignore you, not face you down or walk directly toward you. If he gives you some space, you may eventually calm down around him. Read The Other End of the Leash by Patricia McConnell, Ph.D. for more help. Good luck!

Poor guy is very stressed out. I suggest a trainer or behaviour specialist and reading up on the subject.
