Sixty pound adult lab mix needs spayed for cheap

I have a 60 lb adult lab/pit mix who needs to be spayed. My vet is charging close to $400, the spay/neuter clinic told me they don't do dogs that large. I can't afford that much for a medical procedure for myself, let alone my dog. Does anyone know of any other resources to get her spayed for a much lower price?

Look up "Friends of Animals" I got one of my males done for 65 dollars. They are a great organization.

I think you could ask around to the vets in your area, the local shelters, rescues, and see if Petsmart has any spay clinics.
They are out there sometimes in near by states or counties to where you are located, good luck.

Contact your county and see if they'll do a spay for free. I know that there are a few cities that will spay/neuter a pit for free. I don't know about a pit mix, but it's worth a try.
Call other spay/neuter clinics in other towns. I know that's not convenient, but if money is what's keeping you from getting her spayed, then make lots of phone calls to other vets and other clinics. Good luck.

Wow where do you live that is kind of high. I agree check around and see if you can find a better price. Or if you cant do that ,maybe see if you can do a payment plan and spread it out over months. I know vets around here will try to work with people if they dont have all the money. Best of luck with your dog.

That is a lot. Have you checked other vets? Around here a deluxe (IV, extra pain meds) Spay would be around $120.00
