Should my 15 year old dog have hip surgery? (femoral head and neck excision)

That is something you should ask the vet about but my next door neighbor has a dog that has a dislocated hip and she had to have surgery. But i wouldnt want to put your dog through femoral head and neck. But its also up to you, whatever you think is best for your dog because people on dogster dont really know your dogs condition, you do!!!! But the idea of femoral head and neck surgery?? I dont really know what else you could do. Its better than letting your dog suffer though.... but you should ask the vet what is better for your dog!!! I am sorry to hear about your dog too!
