I have a 9wk old Shepard puppy and im having a heck of a time kennel training her. I have had her now for 4wks and she still doesn't kennel well. She has no problem defecating in her kennel and laying in it. I have kennel trained other dogs and wut ive done in the past has worked w/ my other dogs, but not this one. I have never owned a shepard, but i do own a cousin to the shepard. Can someone help me? Her kennel is the right size and she gets let out every four hours like ive done in the past, but she still goes in her kennel. Please help, i cant afford to keep giving her a bath 4 times a day everyday.

ASKED BY

My puppy (13 wk) suddenly started to growl & snap in the bath - he's serious. No problem before... What to do?

He had several baths already with no problem. Last time, I thought it was the shower spraying his head/face. So - this time avoided that - it was fine until I was shampooing his lower body. Growling and snapping - he means business. I slowed down and finished the bath feeding him hot dogs. He ate them , but barely - pretty stressed... No other aggression problems except this.

ASKED BY

Help! My puppy eats everything!

Hi Everyone,

I have a 5 month of German Shepherd named Apollo. He is usually a wonderful puppy, very calm (for a puppy anyway lol), listens, very very smart and catches onto things very quickly which makes training him a breeze!

Other then 1 thing, he eats everything in sight! I don’t mean chewing on things and spitting them out, he actually swallows whatever he has picked up as soon as my boyfriend or I go to take it out of his mouth. A firm "No" does not work, we have tried that over and over, without result. He knows "leave it" and will leave treats on the floor until I say he can have it, and he knows "drop it" for the most part. I just don’t know what to do as this is potentially hazardous to his health! I've tried everything suggested that I’ve found on the internet and i watch him all the time but he still manages to pick up something and eat it...

Does anyone have an idea what I can do for him? Or is this just puppy thing that he will grow out of in time?

ASKED BY

I just got a puppy, she's 9 weeks old. She cries all night, and I was just wondering how long I should expect her to do this? We gave her a nice bed, with a clock in it, the radio on softly, and I spend ages beforehand trying to wear her out.

Also...as I'm typing this I can hear her crying. I left her to cry for about an hour and a half and then I couldn't take it anymore and I went in and comforted her and put her back to sleep. Was this the wrong thing to do? I feel like it must be bad for her to get so upset.

ASKED BY

I have a 10 week old border terrier who cries and screams non stop in her crate and whenever she is alone. I work full time but my neighbour is goin to come and let her out at lunch time each day. I'm worried that I'll have complaints from the other neighbours soon as she is so loud.

What should I do? I want to do what's right for her - should I give her back to the breeder?

Thank for any help or words of wisdom x

ASKED BY

He's 6 months old and his name is Putty, I got him from a friend who was moving to a new home and couldn't take him with. When he had my puppy, he was ok sleeping in his little bed, but he isn't now. We tried taking tips from Dog Whisperer and he still barks and whines. I am totally clueless on what to do. Does it have to do with the fact of his previous owner leaving him? If so, how can I help him more? Is it just me not showing him that his new home is a place of comfort, not a prison of punishment?

ASKED BY
