so my dog has really bad allergy problems and she is losing hair on her back, what is a good allergy med i could use????

I have a eight year old dog and she either has allergy problems or she has dry skin. Would garlic help? i know there is something that you can use for your dog but i dont know what it is called but i know it has garlic in it. But does anyone know a good allergy medicine? i dont know what kind to get??? Or does anyone know a good flea medication i buy frontline but it isnt really helping her!! Anyone have any advice? I feel bad about not being able to help her?!?!? thanks

Where can I find a simple nylon vest?

I'm trying to find a plain, lightweight vest in any color for my large breed dog. I'm in the early process of training him and would like to discourage people from interrupting and distracting us while were working in public. All I have found are flotation devices, backpacks and service dog vests (which he isn't qualified to wear). I'm sure there must be something out there...?

Anyone read "Breeding a Litter: The Complete Book of Prenatal and Postnatal Care" by Beth J. Finder Harris?

Although the title says "complete", I'd never recommend reading a single book and count it as all you need to know on breeding, but I just checked this out from the library yesterday and so far I find it to be an excellent book. It's was published in 1993, but in addition to info on supervising a breeding, caring for a pregnant bitch, and raising pups, it also stresses other responsibilities in breeding like genetic health testing and screening potential buyers carefully. cookiemiller.tripod.com ~Tiffany, breeder-in-training

Anyone have any suggestions for a affordable deep cleaner to clean the messes my Rottie has made on the carpet and what soap to use with it? We changed her food cause the other food gave her skin allergies but the new one gave her diarreah and she made a few messes at night. I wanna buy a deep cleaner for general cleaning but need one that will work on pet stains.

Dog size/growth estimates for a new backpack

Aurora is 11months old and approximately 65 pounds. She stands 24" tall, 22" long from neck to base of tail, and 29" girth at the widest point of her ribs. I want to get her a pack and the sizing is as follows: Girth M-23-36" Girth L-31-48". I'm wondering if she would eventually outgrow the medium and if anyone has a dog that was comparable size that they could measure? Any other recommendations?
