Just a general question...I am so upset with the fact that some people and some advertizers promote bathing dogs outside

( UNLESS YOU LIVE IN A VERY HOT CLIMATE AND YOUR DOG LOVES ICY COLD BLASTS OF WATER OUTSIDE......). After seeing several ads for hose attachments to help bathe dogs with an even more intense blast of water from an outdoor hose..I HAD to voice my opinion... No wonder dogs do not like baths! Hooked up to the outdoor hose!!!! How would YOU like a nice blast of icy water? Dogs deserve a nice warm bath..just as you do. Massaging in the shampoo feels great in the nice, warm water. Older dogs, especially love the theraputic feel of a warm bath. I do not like to get out of the tub! Why try to sell a product that only enhances a dogs dislike for a COLD, HOSE outdoor bath????

Bath after heartworm shots okay?

Adopting a dog that been outside and would like to wash her as soon as she comes to our house but I worry that she had a heartworm shots one week ago. Heard there is a pain where had a shot. (assuming a lower back?) also, concern that if this will excite her too much. any advices appreciated!! romi

How do I get my dog to like baths?

My dog doesn't like taking baths. I thought the noise of the running water bothered him but its not. I would give a treat before and after a bath to convince him it is ok. He cringes at the word BATH. He doesn't get aggressive or any thing, he just tries to jump out of the tub. I have gotten him professionally groomed before and the people who do it say he is a doll. So my question is, how do I get him to like baths when I give him baths because he stinks. BOL

She has not been bathed since before she was bred. She is real dirty in the area of where the pups will come out.

okay, i used an OATMEAL flea shampoo on beignet last night and now he is all flaky. is there anything i can give him or do to control the flakes(besides washing him again-i dont want his skin to dry out even more)?

Jasper has reddish tear stains that he refuses to let me clean. I sit (VERY GENTLY!!!!!) on him so he cant squirm around

and I try to wash them off witha warm wash cloth. I have a tear stain remover but I'm scared to use it because he squirms around and I don't want to get it in his eyes. Does anyone know how to prevent it or clean it efficiently and quickly? Just for reference, because I've heard tear stains can be provoked by diet, Jasper eats Wellness Core hard kibbles.

if spoken to some people who show their dogs and they swear by it. it does make their coats silky and soft. are the ph levels and such okay for their skin?
