Does anyone know of and recommend a hand stripper for my Westie pup just 6 months old in the South Florida area?

I would like to have my Westie hand stripped but cannot do it myself for lack of patience and my ability. I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I appreciate the help!! :)

Grooming a Lab

My purebred lab is 9 1/2 months old. I notice that the fur on the back of his hind legs is looking kind of long and shaggy. He's a short haired, smooth coat dog, so I know he doesn't have to go to the groomer as a rule, but do people have this kind of thing trimmed or do they just leave it? We're first time dog parents so we're not sure. We like him to look his best and take good care of him with brushing. Any other Lab owners care to weigh in? Thanks!

I'm looking into what type of dog to get, and both of these breeds sound like they have the personality traits that I would like to have in my next companion. My lifestyle and the large fenced yard that I have would be suited to these breeds as well. My last dog needed clipped, and I would like to avoid that expense. Also, can you tell if these dogs shed very much?

I just had a horrible grooming experience at the hands of a groomer at Dogtopia in Tyson's Corner, VA. He really messed up my puppy's coat. I need a good groomer who specializes in poodle grooming.

Sooo I took my pom to the groomer's today and he looks extremely strange now. I asked for a teddy bear cut, and he looks like a squirrel. Should I have asked for my money back? Will his hair grow out to be how it was before? Help me!

Lily was groomed too short and now her skin is irritated. What will help?

I had my cocker spaniel groomed on Saturday and they said they had to shave her because her hair was too matted..which is fine.. but they shaved her sooo close to the skin (which seems completely unnecessary) and now she is constantly itching and licking and rubbing her rear end on the carpet. Her skin is obviously irritated and itchy due to the close shave, is there a product I can put on her that will help??

I know Andis has one on their website, but I can't save it or print it out. Does anyone know of a website that will allow the blade guide to be saved or printed out. The blade guide I am referring to, describes the length of cut of each blade, and some helpful tips about using them on which dogs and cats. I hope I am making my description clear enough to be understood. Thank You
