did everyone get that email tip featuring
Tracie Hotchner, author of The Dog Bible?

I visited several websites featuring her and her book(s) and cannot find a single disclosure about her training in the field of animal behavior. All it says is that she has "owned a number of dogs". Since so many here always tell folks to get a behavioral expert (I assume with CREDENTIALS) I wonder what those of you who give that advice think of this book and author? Or is the ownership of a number of dogs a qualifier for "expert" status as a trainer/behaviorist? That brings to mind, just what ARE the credentials for an expert "Behaviorist" or "Trainer" and how do they differ?

ASKED BY

Is it worth buying "The Gold Package" from Andrew Lewis's "Dog Food Secrets"?

I know now that Andrew Lewis is misleading and dishonest about his claims on dog food. I also know that the products he's selling is NOT a scam. All of the books he's selling sound good at a good price plus I can get a refund and still keep the whole package and I even have a reason, his dishonesty.

I think it's worth buying. What do you think? I need good answer.

ASKED BY

Looking for a book/manual/textbook that would educate me on emergency cases for dogs.

Similar to the Dog Manual already available on dogster, I'm looking for a textbook similar to survival guides for humans but instead for dogs. I just experienced reverse sneezing for the first time and freaked out thinking it was serious. The emergency vet taught me how to diagnose and stop it for next time. But how about for splinting broken bones, lodged food, vomiting blood, etc. By no means do I want to replace my vet with a book, but instead educate myself so that I do what I can before a vet can be reached. Even a veterinary textbook would probably be appropriate.

ASKED BY
