I said in a recent answer that "Smaller stool means that the food contained more ingredients that the body could actually use." I meant larger stools. I always check my posts over several times before submitting them, so I'm not sure how I let that one slip by. It was a rather lengthy answer, but that shouldn't mean anything. Well, I've made stupid mistakes in past posts, so shouldn't come as any surprise I s'pose.
I apologize once again, folks.

ASKED BY

Oops. I made a mistake.

When answering the below question in the below link, I made a mistake:
http://www.dogster.com/answers/question/i_give_my_dog_puppy_chow_but_now_people_are_telling_me_it_is_the_worst_dog_food_brand_and_it_can_dam-36426

I listed the "Pottenger's Cats" study. Cats are different animals than dogs. Haha, obviously. I do have a tendency to think the information I do have on nutrition as applying to both dogs and cats. At least when it comes to being meat-based, since both animals are carnivores. (Yes, I do realize that there are nutritional differences between dogs and cats. Cats need taurine, for one. ) But that's no excuse. I apologize for my mistake. :)

Also, to clear a few things up that I suspect may be spreading around by some members, I do not claim, nor have I ever, to be an authority in canine--or feline--nutrition. I simply share resources, relate my own experience (and what I have learned from it), and encourage people to think for themselves and not to rely soley on one source. I don't have to be a glorified scientist with a Ph.D to find or tell the truth, or to help others find it for themselves.

ASKED BY

My lovely Lucky is 13 years old, very weak and with other medical problems. I had to make a decision and the vet is coming tomorrow. I can't stop crying and worry that Lucky will know what the vet is there for. I asked the vet if I could get something to make him sleep when he comes, but he said that Lucky will be OK. I still would prefer him be asleep when the vet comes. Benadryl? any suggestions?

ASKED BY
