I am looking to add a dog to my pack, an Akita. My brother owns Bruno and I have since loved that breed! I am now ready to own my own. I came across a lady who said her Akita was due to have pups soon. She emailed me a picture of her female, but I was a bit concerned. She also sent me a picture of the male, who is owned by her neighbor, and looks just like Bruno. Her female is long haired, like a golden retriever, all black with a white spot on her chest and white paws. She is not built like any Akita I have seen before. Anyone, maybe a breeder of Akitas, can let me know if that discription is of an Akita, maybe one I don't know of? Someone please educate me! E-mail: christinaaq@hotmail.com

My sister rescued Remy a few days ago as the people that had him were threatening to put him to sleep if they couldn't find a home for him in a few days. He is now in my care as she cannot take him into her care at this time. (she knew I would foster him) Remy is about 16lbs and is about the size of a taller Jack. What is my dog's mix?

Looking for some assistance - we adopted Gimli a year ago and without resorting to a DNA test - are looking for your opinion as to his mix of breeds! He's 18 lbs, 18 inches tall (toe to top of head, add three more inches for the ears!) and is about 17 inches long. Black outer coat with white undercoat. Short haired - and only barks when playing. Best guesses appreciated! Thanks
