Does anyone know who to contact when you find mistakes in the breed photo quiz? A beagle is listed as a mastiff, another little white dog (miniature poodle? havanese? Bichon?) is listed as a STANDARD poodle...etc.

9 yrs ago we adopted a dog from the ASPCA. We were told he was a lab/boxer mix, which was obviously untrue. He quickly became a member of the family. He had to be put down last winter and we miss him sooo much. We would love to find a pup like him, but don't know where to start. Over the years people speculated that he was a WALKER/AIRREDALE mix. We have been told that walker breeders will cross with an airredale to make good hunting dogs, but if the pups don't look like pure walkers they are disposed of. I know we will never get a breeder to admit to this, but we just want another amazing dog like Gus. Gus' Stats: adult weight of 60-70 lbs, tricolor, scruffy face and ears like a terrier, medium coat, easily trained. If you have any thoughts please respond. We desperately miss our friend :o)

If both are a cross of bulldog and mastiff, what's different about boxers and bullmastiffs besides size?

We are former boxer owners and are exploring the bullmastiff. We love the silly traits of a boxer but can't manage the 6-8 mile a day run/walks anymore. Without children, the dog was very high maintenance to become a polite member of the household for 13 fun years. Realistically the fitness would be 1-3 miles now with a busy family. From what we have read, the bullmastiff seems to fit the bill in all other regards. However, we are wondering about the unpredictability of the bullmastiff, as the forum on this site has many anecdotal stories of them attacking other animals in the household. We don't have other pets but humans serve as pack members and we can't have that. We have several close neighbors with small, well mannered but young dogs which would make this intolerable as well. All breeds have their "Bad Boys" to give the prospective owner pause but we are concerned that there is a "Black Box Warning" on the otherwise docile bullmastff. Any comments?

We got Bomba about a year ago and we were told by the humane society that he was a pit lab mix.. But I dont think he is

Since then may of our friends have told us he maybe a pit great dane mix;. He has the disposition of a great dane very calm all the time very friendly and very loving.When i say clam he is the most clam dog i have ever met. What do you think?

I already know the basics ( not to breed her with another merle or a dane with merle in his background). What genetic tests are best to have done? I have almost 2 years before I plan on breeding her. I just want to be as prepared as possible, and to make the right decisions for her health and well being.
