My family and I are looking for input on a new pet holiday called Barknight.

My family and I wrote a children�s book called �The Legend of Barknight�. The story explains how dogs became our best friends. In it we create a new pet holiday called Barknight. It�s basically Thanksgiving for Pets and occurs each year on the first full moon after Halloween. My family and I are trying to make Barknight the official pet holiday celebrated around the world. My dog attackes neighbor dogs when the neighbor is walking their dog on the road near our property. She runs and hides in the garage in a corner behind a truck were she can't be seen when she ears gun shots like a BB gun or a shot from far away. She hides when she hears the lawn mower. She always acts afraid. Is there anything that can be done?

I just read a book of short stories called Woman's Best Friend; women writers on the dogs in their lives. Next on my list: The Healing Art of Pet Parenthood. I also like: Dr Pitcairn's Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats Pet Food Politics and the magazines: Animal Wellness, Bark, Modern Dog Do you have favorite dog-related books, fiction or non? Magazines, publications, websites (other than dogster, of course!)
