Working at animal shelter??

I'm 15 years old and I'm able to work at an animal shelter. I have talked to my parents about it and they are telling me thats its great. I've been on a farm my whole life, and I'm great with animals. All my animals are nice and calm. I normaly bond with other animals great, since theses animals don't know me Im wondering if you are able to give me any hits....The shelter I would be working at is a dog/cat shelter. i've been thier before and its a nice place, but im just wondering if their are any hints that you would be able to give me. thanks

i wanted to know how does one become a certified pet sitter in the state of nevada is there a program that is required?? i know anyone can do pet sitting ,but i think if you are certified it means that you are more professional!! any one can give me some ideas on this.

We were at Pet Supplies "Plus" the yesterday and they don't have dogs or cats for sale there (which I was happy about because of the puppy mill thing), but they did have birds and fish and guini pigs and other things there that you can buy. Are those from bad breeders who are the equivialent of puppy mills?
