My puppy is a maltzu and she stays in her cage when im there she sleeps and everything with her cage shuts. But when I leave my house she screams and shouts and at the same time pees and poops. What can I do to stop her, what can I do to make her feel comfterble in her crate without being scared of it.
how old is she? Its just a faze. Get her slowly potty trained and then when you leave the house she will just keep screaming and yelping but your just going to have to let her and don't show any interest. Get a small crate just big enough for her now so when she wants to poop and pee she wont because she doesn't have that room for herself. Take her out to go to the bathroom several times in the morning. Feed her early then take her out several times dont let her drink anything because she just ate and drank a bunch. Then by lunch come to check on her and make sure shes okay and dont let her out until she stops whining. Then give her some water and take her out. This should help you if you keep this a daily basest because these tips just helped me a week or two ago with my own pup(Ali). Hope This helps.

she knows you are leaving.
You may have to hide the keys and change the way you leave.
Go out to your car maybe then come back in. Then go to the restroom or sit down for a couple of minutes. I would keep your routine mixed, and hide the keys so you don't rattle them.
Place a kong with some peanut butter in there as well as a distraction to the dog.
Maybe have someone come in at lunch time and walk her. Then tell them to stuff the kong again, but with something beside peanut butter as the stuff is sticky and also the dog will enjoy a different reward for going into the crate til you get home.

well my cavalier crys when we leave home to which believe it or not is actually natural as dogs are pack animals and dont like being left behind. The best way i have found to deal with this is to walk your dog or put her on a treadmill for a while before u plan on leaving so that when u put her in her crate she feels tired and wants to setle down for a nap. Also the walk will give her a chance to relieve herself which should stop her doing it in her crate.
