1. He takes the newspaper from the table or chair and looks at the words
2. He 'writes' with his paw on the floor
3. He either howls to or listens to our 5-year-old sing the alphabet
4.When we take him for a walk, he looks at every sign we pass and if there's a sign in a different language, like Spanish or Chinese, he looks at them in a curious way.
That's pretty strange all right, but I do doubt that he is actually reading. Maybe he is looking at the letters.
But who knows, maybe he can read...
In either case, you obviously have one smart doggie.

Not a joke! Is your pup generally a genous in other ways? We cant even spell in front of our Jack. He knows exactly what we are saying. He can read minds and I dont mind saying he IS smarter than us or anyone we have ever met! I think he has telepathy and gets very frustrated when we cant read his mind or understand his needs! You must keep your pup mentally stimulated. Kongs and other interactive toys help a lot. And verbally comunicate without yelling. If he is acting wild and not paying attention make him look at your face and explain slowly in words he understands. Build his vocabulary. Read the signs and paper to him running your finger under the words like you would a child. we have been literaly brought to tears with the intelligence level of our Lil Jack!
