Unless you are using a head collar, give her a leash pop and a ''Bad dog!'' in a stern voice when she goes for it. Move on.

Yes, I agree on people should clean up after their dogs. It is quite easy to carry a plastic bag. Old bread wrappers are fine and I like the ones my newspaper comes in. Just put it over your hand, pick the stools up and turn the bag inside out.

I have seen little canisters of bags that slip on the leash.

Redirect your dog when she tries to eat poop.

There isn't much we can do about irresponsible people who don't clean up after themselves. Teach by example is all I can think of.

I wouldn't "pop" my dog with the leash; you don't want her to fear the leash. A Firm NO, and pull the dog away from whatever nugget she has found should suffice.

You can also pet and praise the times when she doesn't go for an available nugget.

Far too many people are want to punish instead of praise and praise works better the biggest most of the time.
