My dog Daisy's teeth

My dog, Daisy , is five months and she doesn't have any of her front bottom teeth or her lower left canine tooth. I'm worried!

Just like children, puppies lose their baby teeth. She will get new ones in their place, don't worry!

It's normal for puppies to loose their baby teeth and grow adult ones - just like human children. Usually the new ones are in before you even notice the baby one fell out. Most dogs have all adult teeth by 8 to 9 months old.

Keep an eye out for the new teeth.

As the others have said, it's totally normal for her to be missing teeth. Usually, we don't notice it and it's usually a gradual process with not all the teeth missing, but it does happen.

You may find teeth in the carpet or backyard or she may swallow them, which is perfectly fine as they just come out the other end eventually.

Dogs have two teething stages, the first of which Daisy is going through right now. It starts anywhere from four to six months and it involves the baby teeth falling out and being replaced by adult teeth.

The second stage is around 14-16 months old when the adult teeth take root. That can cause discomfort in some dogs, so don't be surprised if she goes back to the teething behavior for a while around that age, too.

yes, she is right at the age when pups lose their baby teeth, give it a couple of months, she'll have a brand new set.
