The big thing is to feed *wet* food (our kidneys need the moisture) and a higher-quality protein is better (meat, not corn gluten). Some canned and raw foods are lower in phosphorus than others... it depends on how much is fat versus protein. (Both fat and protein are easier for us to digest than carbohydrates.)
