her stomach is always hard and it hurts if you touch, she will start to cry and try to pull herself up so you cant touch her stomach!
i am going to call the vet tomorrow as they are closed tonight.. but please help me for tonight!
thanks,
elle,
maddies mommy
Do you have an emergency vet clinc? If so I would take her...it could be bloat..and that is not good. Or at least call and talk to them they will tell you if they think she needs to be seen.
Hope this helps a bit..xoxox

If you vet is closed do you have a local animal shelter? they normally have vets there on duty and If this is very serious they would talk to you and help you, they do here.
Or maybe phone the local dog warden they may have a number for an emergency vet.
Is she drinking? can go without food for a while but not to get dehydrated and if she will not wet a hankie or a flannel and drip it in her mouth.
If she does not like you to touch her best not too sweetie, we hope you soon get this sorted out!

I agree on the emergency vet. I have taken Bailey into the emergency vet when she was sick and my vet was closed. As a matter of fact, the message on the phone of my vet afterhours suggests that. We do not live in a huge area and we have an emergency vet available 24 hours.

Oh My!!! I would take her to an emergency vet right away! It sounds like it could be bloat! I have a Great Dane and larger dogs are prone to bloat and it can take our babies within minutes! I know your Maddie isn't that big, but it still sounds a little like bloat. I am not sure if you are still online but if she is slobbering and acting like she cannot get comfortable than it is a good possibility that it is bloat! I hope the following info helps!! I am praying for you!!!!!
20 Signs that your dog may be in trouble from bloat or torsion:
(1) distended abdomen
(2) rigid (hard) abdomen
(3) painful when touched in the abdomen
(4) vomiting foamy or liquid material
(5) unproductive attempts at vomiting or retching
(6) arched back
(7) praying position (down in front, rear standing)
(8) laying down on belly - crouched position
(9) curling up in a ball
(10) laying or sitting in an unusual location
(11) seeking a hiding place
(12) looking at their side
(13) frequent swallowing (aerophagia)
(14) hypersalivation (drooling heavily)
(15) drinking excessively
(16) lack of appetite
(17) quiet, any abnormal behavior
(18) lethargy, weakness
(19) panting, breathing rapidly or heavily
(20) red gums, or white gums (not normal pink color)

Most vets will meet you after hours, sounds like you need to call tonight. Waiting would delay treatment. We will be praying for you Maddie.

We lit a candle for Maddie. We will keep all of our paws, whiskers toes and everything else we can think of crossed. Have you thought about calling an emergency vet? There are many that are open all night.
Please keep us posted.
Love,
Egor

I agree also after reading this article to take her into emergency. Since dogs can't verbalize they are in pain, she might be suffering more than you think.
