My 6 yr old rat terrier is drinking more water then usual.

She is always at the water bowl wanting water. She drinks and then she goes outside to potty and when she comes back in, she heads right for the water bowl. She is a little overweight, but I noticed that she might of lost some weight. She is an active dog.Its been about 2 weeks that she has been doing this. She does sometimes throw up a little, the water.
She also has nasal problems, could that be from being overweight? She is always snoring. Thank you.

Have her tested for diabetes. Excessive water drinking is usually associated with this. Definitely have her checked by your vet.

PLEASE get your dog to a vet immediately!

My 4 year old female Labrador was just diagnosed with diabetes ketoacidosis a month ago. She had the exact same symptoms as yours. We're not sure if our Chloe is going to make it or not yet.

she should go to the vet right away she may have diabetes or some other condition. Also Sometimes being excessively thirsty means liver failure
