Jasper

Jasper has reddish tear stains that he refuses to let me clean. I sit (VERY GENTLY!!!!!) on him so he cant squirm around

and I try to wash them off witha warm wash cloth. I have a tear stain remover but I'm scared to use it because he squirms around and I don't want to get it in his eyes.

Does anyone know how to prevent it or clean it efficiently and quickly?

Just for reference, because I've heard tear stains can be provoked by diet, Jasper eats Wellness Core hard kibbles.

It can def. be diet. Chloe use to have them bad when she was little. I changed her to distilled water only and bought Spa facial blueberry. You can google it and you use it in the bath once a weak when you give bath. Plus, it has never burned her eyes at all. With both of that together, it's all gone and doesn't cost as much as other products. Good luck.

Your doing the right thing using a warm washcloth and gently cleaning the area. A tear stain remover will work also. If you can have someone help you hold on to Jasper while you clean his eyes it is much easier.

The cold winter weather makes it worse and try to keep the hair around his eyes is not to long. Jasper is eating high quailty food. My dogs eat the same food and this is the first year we are dealing with eye issues.
