Is there a country place in NJ where I can board our 2 dogs - an Aussie shepherd mix and a mini poodle mix -- in Aug?
We have 2 rescue dogs who are used to having a run in the park off-leash every day and getting lots of attention. We're hoping to find a kind owner of a country home who is willing to board dogs on his/her property for a couple of weeks in August. We are willing to pay --in fact, we'd much rather pay someone like this than a kennel because our dogs would be unhappy in cages. The dates are Aug 4-24. I am curious to know if you found something like this. Because I too am in NJ & looking for care for my 2 Siberian Husky's (also rescued). We have used kennels in the past, when we just had one dog & have had less than stellar experiences (sick from one, had accidents in home after another). Too bad I didn't see this earlier, we could have exchanged favors. Although I am not in a 'country home' we have a big outdoor pen & are use to 'high energy' dogs.
