Is it normal for a dog to pee when they get excited ever if they on the couch?
My dog haves accidents when she on the couch or poos on the floor. I ve tried crateing her for about a month . I would put her in the crate before I go to bed Or work. And soon as I get up in the morning I would take her straight outside. as well as when I get home from work. but she still have accident like a little pee spot. I startrd to notice that she does it when shes excited. Im sure what I should do. btw she is a year old.

At a year old, she's still very much a puppy. She could just have some mild submissive peeing or excitement related peeing, which is a very normal thing that many dogs go through at a certain age in puppyhood. Most of the time, it's an outgrown behavior, but some dogs continue it later in life, too.
Basically, it's confined to peeing and it's a behavior that shows older dogs and other pack members (you) that she's not a threat. Pooping is a different matter.
To me, she doesn't seem houstrained yet.
Pick up a copy of How to Housetrain a Dog in Seven Days. It can be found at most book stores and is cheap, short and easy to follow. It contains a plan for both crate and non-crate training and if you are consistent and patient, you WILL have results from this positive reinforcement method.
If you don't see any improvement after seven days, have her checked out by the vet for any physical reasons why she might be having this problem.

Oh!!!! My dog had this for like ages! I can really help you out!!! Well, all you have to do is that when someone comes tell them to not give a lot of attention, just a little pet. If your dog pees say Bad dog and clean. Don't worry!! By the time it's 1 years old it won't do it anymore. It's because it's a puppy and it's normal for puppies to pee when they get excited. So, do worry!!
