Dogs don't have a menstrual cycle, they only have an estrus or "heat". During a certain point of the estrus cycle, they can become pregnant.
Spaying a dog means to remove it's ovaries and uterous. This will completely stop the dog's estrus for the rest of it's life.

She should not.
If your dog is then there may be some other condition such as bladder infection.
Most dogs now are a complete spay they take out the uterus as well.

If they have a ovariohysterectomy (removal of ovaries and utereus) then no, your dog shouldn't be going into heat. However sometimes vets can miss an ovary or ovary tissue and the hormone secreted by this can cause the dog to bleed or go into 'heat'.
I believe that simply removing the ovaries will not stop the dog from going into heat and only prevents the dog from having puppies.
Hope that helps!

No she will not bleed. But I noticed with my dog, when she is " suppose" to go into her heat cycle she lets off that smell and our male dog tries to mount her, I called my vet and he said that is completly normal...but if she does BLEED, than you need to call your vet to get her checked out !
