There's also such as thing as a rescue. Their dogs are put directly into foster homes until they are adopted.

You can look into different rescues. Or try to find a good home for it yourself.

Dogster seems like the perfect place to come for help. You may be able to find a home for your newly rescued dog fairly easy. There are many dogs on Dogster that are up for adoption and living in foster homes at the moment. There are a lot of success stories of happy adoptions. Take a lot of pictures of this poor little orphan and make a Dogster profile for him. Tell his sad story and the wonderful traits this little dog has that you've surely discovered by now. Be sure to list your city and state, so people in your area know he/she is available. Have prospective doggie parents e-mail you. Meet with them only if you think their home may be a good fit.
Another suggestion is to contact your local paper. Contact a columnist that does human/pet interest stories. Writers are always looking for good stories. Perhaps they'll run a story on little orphan dog that will whip up some interest and a new home. Good luck you kind-hearted soul!

Poor little guy, no dog should have to go through that. I adopted a westie mix that was tossed from a roof and had to have surgery on her head before i brought her home. It took awhile but she is a very nice little dog now. I hope you can find him a good home.
sorry no advice just best wishes.
