Blue heeler, (AKA australain cattledog) Blur tick, and maybe some dalimatian but that is a long shot on dalmatian. could be A louisiana leapard dog cross to.

He does look like he could be part Australian Cattle Dog. ACD's are pretty independent and do not require as much human interaction/affection as other dogs. They tend to like to be on their own a lot and are not really known for being "cuddly" dogs. Your dog may be just be a little scared of people or stressed to be in a new enviornment. It took Zack about 3 months before he would sit on the couch with me. Was he like this when he lived with your friend? If he is part ACD, they also tend to be a little wary of strangers. Make sure to give your dog plenty of time to get to know you. You might enroll in a dog obedience class (where you work with your own dog) to help build the bond between yourself and your new pet. As much as we love to hug and pet our dogs, a new dog may need to learn to trust you before they are comfortable with this. BTW, pit bulls are usually very attached to their people and very affectionate. My parents' pittie mix thinks she is a lap dog!

Looks like he may have blue healer in him. But I agree with Bam-Bam. He may change alot in appearance. If he is having trouble socializing with you, let him lead. Don't force him. If he doesn't want to be loved on or picked up, don't do it. If you do, you will only cause him stress and make him distrustful of you. Make sure he can see you when you play with your other dogs and try to make him feel included without feeling crowded. Try to give the dogs balls to play with and gently insert yourself in the game. Just stand in the middle of them at first then gradually join the game. Some of the most caring and loving dogs are Pit Bulls so I wouldn't worry too much about that unless he shows signs of aggression.

Oh, he's absolutely adorable! :) Now, 4 months old is very young to make a breed guess because they can change a whole lot until they are fully grown. So any guess at this point is really just a guess - he may look quite a bit different at 8 months or a year old. To me, he looks like Jack Russell & cattle dog.

Oreo looks like a cattle dog or a heeler or another herding breed. Even if he had pitt in him, that wouldn't be cause for concern... Pitts are some of the cutest and sweetest puppies and dogs. They just have a bad rap. Perhaps Oreo has been traumatized or was just never really socialized with people. Another possibility is that he's just adjusting to living with you. Or it could just be that he's going through a phase where other dogs are more appealing to him than you are!
