I just got my pup neutered but will not leave his stitches a lone. . .

Baby boy just got neutered and he won't leave his stitches a lone. He has gotten the site really swollen. My vet said to get a E collar so I did but now he drags his hind legs behind him to use the carpet as a scratcher. What should I do? I do not want him to get infected or something.

Sounds like it's time for him to be in his crate!

You definately need to crate him. He needs to have his movement limited until the stitches stop itching. Put him in the crate with the e collar. Don't take that collar off no matter what. Your dog will open himself up even if you're not look for 5 minutes.

Yes, crate him and check with the vet in the morning.

If they are red and swollen you may have to take him back in.
Have them look at the site and give you more meds if needed.
yep, keep his movement and scratching to minium. maybe crate is best option right now.
good luck
