I have had Teddy since he was a pup, he is very at loving. At home we have a cat as well and they do not get along, I keep them seperate because they both want to attack each other. Lately Teddy does not listen and is becoming very aggressive. He bites me now which he has never done before, I do not know what to do? Not to mention he does not let me trim his nails (and I can't take himtogroomer cause he will go crazy with rage if anyone touches him) and he is barking way more than usual. What do I do? Do you have any suggestions or techniques I can use to alter his behavior ? when meeting someone new? gettiing along with the cat? Do you think getting him neutered will help?
Thanks!
Getting him neutered would probably help with some of this behavior. I'm not too sure what techniques would be best...you might want to consult a trainer. Good luck!

Well sounds like he is getting too big for his britches huh.
I would let him know some things. When you get ready to cut his nails. Get the cutter and lay them right there beside him. Have a lil leash on him also. When he looks at the cutters feed him some chicken. Then as you are looking at cutters don't look directly at him. Move the cutters when he jerks and looks at them feed him again. Take the cutters away and do the same a few minutes later. His association with nail cutting somehow got mixed.
Without any cutters in hand, also start a daily routine of gently rubbing every single part of his body. When he doesn't growl or bite feed him chicken that you should have in your pocket. Neutering can dimish aggression to a certain point and humping. When someone meets him you must give them a piece of goody to feed to him. This will help in meet and greets.:) Take him in your arms and massage his feet, if he does not growl or such feed him more goodies right away. This should be done

Hi Teddy!
Yes, neutering should help a lot - it will relieve your frustration, and probably diminish the aggression. Do you get to walk every day? A brisk walk and/or play time with other doggies at the dog park (off-leash!) should help, too, because you will have less nervous energy.
Since this is new behavior, ask your vet to look you over and eliminate any pain or discomfort as the source.
You must learn to listen to your owner, and never bite. When I first came home from the pound, I had to learn this lesson, too. My mom got me a trainer who suggested hand-feeding at least once a day. I learned that my food did not magically appear; it came from the hands that I had been trying to bite! Every time I nipped or tried to bite, my family took my collar and walked me to the door. No scolding or yelling, just a trip outside for 10 minutes of isolation. A small room would work, too, if you don't have a back yard.
I have other advice, but only a few characters left, so please message me.
