It's very important to find out what kind of worms your puppy has since different worms require different worm medications. Unfortunately, you will need to have a fecal exam for that. Check your local humane society, some offer those types of services.

I don't know, but please don't get a dog unless you have the money to care for the LIVING BEING.

Im not trying to be mean, but if you cant afford to take your dog to the Vet, you shouldn't own one.
There is No welfare program for dogs and cats. If you cant afford to take care of it, sign it over to a shelter or give it to someone who can take good care of it.

You need to know what kind of worms your dog has to treat him...Honestly, it's not that much for an office call & a fecal sample...Borrow the money or sell something & get your dog to the vet!
I hope he's had his puppy vaccinations!

Sometimes you can go to your local Humane Society or animal shelter for low cost or no cost exams. If they don't offer them, they'll have information about someone who does.

If you have to you can get a vet appointment with a pay back plan meaning a certain amount down like 1/3 of the bill, then every week pay what you have to , to make the agreement.
Then the dog can get a test for what worms and the right meds.
Here it would be 25 for office then 15 dollars for test, and depending on weight about 8-15 dollars for meds, they may waive the 25 office call if you explain your situation.
If they won't do payment plan then they may know a free or low cost clinic to help you.

Our local vets have charitable funds set to assist pet owners when they need help. I'd call, explain the situation and hopefully they can help you. This is important during tough economic times. Some also set up payment plans.

You can try to match up the symptoms with the directions on the packages of worm medicine at a pet supply and perhaps take care of things such as hook worms, whipworms, or ringworms.
Unfortunately, there is no home remedy for heartworms or much symptoms until the dog dies suddenly. The only answer is heartworm remedy from the vet. The common ones such as Interceptor or Heartguard + also protect against other common worms.
Unfortunately, there are certain expenses you must bear to keep a dog.

I agree with Jet and Patchs. It is like not taking your child who has tape worm (Yes people can get them) to the doctor because you can't afford it.
Owning a dog is expensive and those who can't afford them should not get one. It is ludicrous. I see it so much in my work and I never seem to be able to harden myself when it comes to seeing pets go without medical attention due to lack of finances.
Look out local shelter, here comes another one!

Get a some that has piperzine in it most dogs/pups have either tape worms or Round worms you can see both in their poop. If your dog/pup is coughing then it is hook worms and whip worms, I found this on the net I think it may help you.
