I'm looking for information about what kind of paperwork, vaccinations, etc, I need to get her into the country. Also any recommendation on airlines that will allow pets to fly in the cabin on an international flight.

Check out this link for current info about bringing a dog from the USA into France.
Frankly, I would leave my dog with a family member or trusted friend, instead.
Although the majority of dogs who enter the EU don't have a problem, they are able to deny any dog entry for any reason, even if you still have the paperwork.
Also, even though laws have changed, quarantine still exists there and if there is ONE thing missing from your application, it could mean disaster. There was a Dateline report a couple of months ago that dealt with traveling abroad with pets and it was pretty scary.
Have fun regardless of what you decide to do.

From what I understand, France LOVES dogs, so it should be easier than some countries.
