I have already tried 4-h but it was not quite what I was looking for. I was wondering if any if any of you have ever tried to start a dog club? not like on dogsters I mean in real life. how did you go about that? what kind of stuff would you do? I thought that maybe we could take are dogs to the dog park or something. I'm 13 and I love dogs... any ideas?
You might talk to your school principal about starting a school club. You could also talk to a local shelter or rescue about starting a young volunteers group. Or your local library or park district might be interested in hosting a dog-related club.
Please don't call an organization "stupid" just because you didn't like it or you didn't have a good time. In most areas, if you don't like any of the established 4-H clubs, you can start your own club with just a few friends and an adult leader. Call your local cooperative extension service to find out how to do this. There are many different types of 4-H clubs and groups, to meet the needs and interests of many different people. If you start your own club, you can set it up so that you can do the activities YOU want to do.
