How do I make Kasa protective of the car?

Kasa is protective of the house, but doesn't seem to care about who is trying to come in the vehicle.

I'm not sure if you can "make" a dog protective. it all goes back to their breed/temperment. Since Kasa has no direct association with the car, he probably doesn't see the need to protect it. Dogs usulaly protect where they sleep and eat and their family.

You don't "teach" a dog to be protective. German Shepherds will guard what they want. "Teaching" a dog to guard usually makes them attack instead of naturally guarding.

I personally think no dog should gaurd. It will only make problems, I'm trying hard to get Oliver to not gaurd the house.

I think you should let your dog guard what she does & accept what she doesn't!...Training a dog to guard or be mean is a serious mistake imo if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

I agree with Zackentosh, a German Sherpard is a natural guard dog. I did not have to learn how to guard and protect my owners. My Daddy is the pack leader, nobody fights or attacks unless he says so. If I was to attack or guard without him saying so. That would make him a weak leader. One time my Daddy was knock over by a Large Rottweiler. I knew that was the time to protect. So I attacked until he got off my Daddy. My Daddy has been attack by many dogs over his running career and knew to tuck his arms and give the dog his back. That gives the nothing to really grab. Then my Daddy jump on top of him to protect me.

I do not really understand your question. You say Kasa doesn't protect your car when someone is trying to get IN, who are these people trying to get in? Are they strangers or people you yourself have invited into your car. If you are inviting these people in why would you want your dog to act protective or aggressive with your friends or family. If they are strangers, lock your car, get an alarm. A dog being protective of your car can backfire quickly. You teach her this, she may bark at anyone walking down the street, stopped beside you at a red light or parking lot. What if you need to run into a store and someone walks too close to the open window; your dog could possibly bite someone.
Deogie started to bark while we were out cruising and I stopped it quickly. Having a dog barking in your ear IS NOT pleasant.
Deogie barks at home, he lets me know when someone is near but when I say "quiet" he knows that is enough and if I invite someone into my home, that is my choice and he respects that. I know if he was pushed like someone trying to hurt me or trying to break in, his reaction would be much different, but then by all means get the bugger…BOL.
A dog being protective is a great thing but as a dog owner you NEED to be able to control the circumstances at all times and in no way do I think you should try and TEACH her aggressive behavior for any reason.
