cookie

how can i take my pitbull mix a bath outside with the water hose when she keeps running off??

my pitbull, cookie is an outside dog so i can take him baths with the water hose, but she just runs off and returns after a w hile after i have already given up! so what do u think i should do? any ideas?

Get a long leash or temporary tie-out, and tie her to a tree. That's what I do with my dog when I need to give her an outdoor bath.

Another option is fencing your yard, but that wouldn't help this situation quite so much.

Also, and this is for any time she is out loose, to keep her from running off as an extra precaution, fireproof her recall.

I would just pemporarily tie her to a tree, or post. Whatever's sturdy enough to hold all her weight. But if it's just the paws or legs you want clean you could buy a cheap outdoor plastic swimming pool, fill it with hose water & let her play around in it, although my pup usually ends up getting even more dirty, i think that type of thing is more for a fun day at home ; )
