Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap, high quality dog shampoo and conditioner?

I have a dog care, walking, and training business and I am starting to bathe dogs. I need some shampoo suggestions. Not flea shampoo or anything. Maybe just an all dog shampoo. Same thing with conditioner. If any of you have any suggestions for cheap tubs, shower heads, etc, I would really appreciate it. I found that Doctors Foster and Smith are cheaper than Petsmart, so should I go with Doctors Foster and Smith or some other brand? I really need suggestions for dog shampoo, conditioner, tubs, showerheads, towels, or anything else besides clippers that go along with bathing at low prices. If you have any suggestions for anything high priced, go ahead and tell me, it's just that I would appreciate low priced items, yet at a high quality. Thanks!

Lots of Licks,

Jet and Owner

My mom breeds Irish wolfhounds and horses, and she uses Mane and Tail. Its cheap and great quality for long and short haired dogs. Our black lab works good on it as well, never had any dry skin (but everydog is different). And then also with long haired dogs since the shampoo and conditioner is made originally made for horses it works great for tangles. And pssst you can use it on yourself!

Good luck

The words cheap and high quality do not go together in dog shampoo's, or anything for that matter...you will get what you pay for. Cheap shampoo usually doesn't dilute down very far and ends up costing more than expensive shampoo. And, you will need different kinds for different coats and different coat problems. Lots of dogs are allergic to different shampoos... as a result we use about 8 different kinds for the different coat types and different skin problems and allergies that our clients have. You will also need dryers and cages for drying....you can't send a dog home from a grooming damp!!!

I like any earth bath product. But one thing I love is you may see the price and be like I want something cheaper but when you dilute the bottle it lasts forever!!! One bottle equals 4 bottles I think. I think thats awesome. O and btw a little secret since money is tight and I like to get good stuff for the dogs I use earth bath creme rinse on my hair I love it and my hair is just as nice as when I use my good KMS stuff!!!! :D

Hey Jet....congrats on expanding your business!

I don't have a specific product rec for you, but I was just thinking that if you have a business license, then you can easily apply for a wholesale (some states call it a resale) license and order shampoo and conditioner from companies at wholesale prices. That way even higher quality products can be affordable to you. There are probably minimum orders, but depending on how much you need, you might find that storing the products if they have a good shelf life can still be a good deal for you.

I'm sure you can get ALL of your items like towels and clippers, etc this way.

Good luck!
