This is a forum for dog lovers. If you need to "get rid of" aka surrender your dog, you need to do it locally at a no kill shelter or rescue!

I think there is a dogs for adoption section here. Poke around. If you must rehome a dog, a rescue may be the best place. Rescues are dogs that lost their home, but were taken into a foster home to be retrained as necessary and placed in the right home for them. You may find a rescue near you starting at www.akc.org Most rescues are breed specific, but also take mixes of the breed.

If it is a super nice dog, one of the service dog schools might accept it. You can find the closest ones to you starting at www.iaadp.org

"Get rid of" sounds like you are throwing out some garbage. Please check with your local shelters and/or rescue organizations, they will be more helpful if you ask for help in placing your dog, not "getting rid of it".
