Almost all dogs shed. There are a few "hairless" dogs and maybe one or two breeds that supposedly don't shed, but a long hair Chi definetely will. You probably won't have much of a problem with a long haired shedding dog as you would with a short hair, the short hairs work their way into furniture and clothes and are much more difficult to remove then long hairs.

Yes they do, but a daily brush should keep those shedding hairs under control.

of course they shed the only common hypo allergenic breeds are dogs like poodles that are a shedless breed. you dog wil most definatly shed may i suggest you buy a furminator if it really bugs you
