Bath after heartworm shots okay?
Adopting a dog that been outside and would like to wash her as soon as she comes to our house but I worry that she had a heartworm shots one week ago. Heard there is a pain where had a shot. (assuming a lower back?) also, concern that if this will excite her too much. any advices appreciated!! romi

I think it is safe to give her one. If there is any redness at the site, make sure the vet see it.
It should be healed and fine to bathe her.
Just take your time and have fun with your new dog.
