Are beagles bad for people with allergies?

Short haired dogs such as Beagles produce plenty of the skin dander that causes most dog allergies. There are plenty of similar sized dogs such a Poodles that don't have the dander.

I don't think it is a beagle per say but the dander as mentioned is what people are allergic to .
Some people are more allergic to cats then dogs. My daughter is allergic to cats tremendously. But, she can tolerate some and most dogs.
A breed that is hypo allergic is better I hear. But, really I am no expert. With a child that is allergic to wood, dust, cats, and smoke everyone is different.
