Any Rat Terrier owners out there?

I'm getting my new puppy Rat Terrier soon and I would like to know if they have a any health issues or behavure i would need to watch while she grows up. Any tips with Rat Terriers please let me know. Thanks for your help!

Hello, I might be able to help a little, but not much. I'm also getting a puppy Rat Terrier soon and I mostly only know that some rat terriers are geneticly deaf, luxating patella where the knee caps slip out sometimes, and I bet theres more but thats all I'v looked out so far. Not much but hope it will help.

These are the types of questions you should have been asking before you decided on what breed of dog to get. There are a number of forums about Rat terriers here on Dogster - you might want to check them out. Also, the AKC breed website should give you an idea of the types of health problems that Ratties are prone to.
