Am I the only one confused on what food to feed my little guy?

I'm the mother of a 3 month old Pomeranian who seems to LOVE all of the different foods I had bought for him. At first we started with Eukanuba for Puppies, that is until I found out how unhealthy it is for dogs. Then I went and bought him Ultra for Puppies which lasted a good week until I found out that it has been recalled. I finally spoke to my vet and “they” recommend Science Diet for Puppies. He is currently on Science Diet for about 2 weeks now and I came across the articles that really made me so furious with many of the veterinarians. After doing some research, I narrowed it down to these certain food brands and still have mixed thoughts:
Orijen
Innova
Wellness
Blue Wilderness
Canidae
Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul Dog Food

When it comes to my little hunk, money is no object so please don’t use price as a reason not to purchase food. Between just some of the great foods I listed, I’m really unsure what to buy for him. Opinions, thoughts, suggestions??

I think it's really up to you. There's lots of great dog foods out there and you have to pick the right one for him based on what you're looking for in a food. Personally I would go with something that has chicken as the first ingredient and make sure you actually know what all the ingredients are. I've only used Nutro for my dog and the ingredients are not synthetic or chemicals. A friend of mine uses Avoderm. Also, just be mindful of recalls when and if they occur and see if they affect the specific bag you purchased. Good luck.

All of the above are great foods and I see no reason why, if he has an iron stomach, you couldn't just rotate between all of them! Rotations keep a dog from getting bored with a food, developing intolerances, and is just overall healthier because one food may contain something "more" that another food is lacking. If you want, just feed one of those foods for like a month or two months, then feed a different one, and so on and so on. I think you will be pleasantly surprised, as will your pom!!!

Well all of the foods you have listed are awesome! So its up to you which one you would like to try. Rotation is also a good option. You can rotate to give your dog different protein sources. Thats what I do and couldnt be happier with the results. You can rotate every month, week, day or even every feeding. Or rotate every bag.

Dieta

You can switch over 50/50.
I would go with wellness just for puppies.
Poms coats can be touchy
So also go with puppy formulas.
Try to avoid high protein foods. Puppies do not require high protein levels.
Solid gold also has a nice small dog food and a puppy food

Hey! My mom feeds me Ultra too! It is super yummy and I love it! Mom just wanted me to tell you that Ultra is not recalled and has not been recalled. Me and my big brother both eat it and we have super shiny coats and always eat it right up!

Mom works for Nutro so if you have any questions or concerns about anything just let her know and she will be glad to help you!

Feel free to visit the website:
www.ultraholistic.com!

They are going through a whole new revamp to update the bags and to add fresh chicken to the three protein sources as well as some 'superfoods' like avocado and blueberries to make sure your pups diet is rich in antioxidants!

You are confused because of all the conflicting advice often based on self interest. Much of it is deceptive half truths, speculation, and in some cases, outright lies. I have found the straightest talk at www.woodhavenlabs.com

I would stick to the Science if it is working. Much of the criticism of vets originates from hypocrites that are selling something else. There is much more proof dogs do well on Science than that they don't.

Nearly every thread on the net about food is filled with misinformation. I have tried to follow all the allegations back to any controlled studies, and there are none.

there are lots of great foods, I think your list seems to be good, though I might eliminate the chicken soup. You can check out petfoodauthority.com - I used this site quite a bit when I was researching food, they have a wide variety of foods and I could easily get info such as ingredients, guaranteed analysis, etc. - all in one place.
