We have a 3 month old deaf male Frenchie named Ooshki who has recently developed a sleeping problem. We have had Ooshki for 1.5 months and since day 1 he has been sleeping in a crate downstairs in our living room. He rarely barks when we put him in his crate, will sleep through the night, and he wakes up at 6am SHARP every morning.
Last week Ooshki woke up around 3am barking like crazy. Since this had not happened before we woke-up and took him outside to go potty. The next day he woke up at 2:30 and we decided to ignore him, however, the next day we found he had pooped in his crate. We felt horrible and decided maybe we do need to get up with him? Since then the patter has gotten worse. He wakes up at 2am, then 3, then 4, etc. If we ignore him he barks for a solid half an hour, falls asleep and wakes up 30 minutes later. We have gotten very little sleep this week and will take any advice we can get!
One note: we have recently introduced raw chicken into his diet for dinner only.
Move the chicken to breakfast or better yet stop it altogether until he's older. His digestive system is processing it too fast.

Could it be that maybe your pet is feeling lonely being left in his crate away from anyone for the night? Maybe put his crate in your room? Our puppy sleeps in a crate in our room, we tried the first night leaving her in the crate in the dining room but she cried until be brought her upstairs. Sometimes they get scared being that they are still babies.

I am not a fan of raw feeding for pups...
Oh, I love frenchies....
If you need to feed the raw, do it in the am.
At night a lighter meal -- Grain free dog food would be good.

Maybe as a prey model raw feeder, I'm biased, but I seriously doubt that the raw chicken is causing the problem. If there is any reason that it could be causing the problem, inform me, please.
I apologize for this rather pointless post, Guest. I cannot help you, but good luck.
